Good post, but did you forget those of us who curate for their own benefit? For me, curation is an integral part of my personal content strategy — it ensures I internalise the content I find most valuable, so I better reflect it in my work and life.
I guess you’d probably say this fits into your Information Management Key Benefits, but your framing puts all the benefits on my audience.
For me, however, I’m the main beneficiary. Although I do publish what I curate, adding an extra dimension to my online presence, that’s a minor side benefit. I wouldn’t bother with it at all if IFTTT had not made it zero-cost.
